Pirates of the Twenty-Wun Stars: The Ballad of Iron Kelly
In the distant future when the last battle between God, Satan and Nefarious destroys the earth in what gets to be known as the big bang, the last vestiges of mankind are blasted into hyper-space. The blast from the destruction of earth knocks the last starships of this battle for so long, and so far away from one another it is over 300 years before the descendant of one starship meets up with the descents of another. Almost 2000 years from that when earth is all but the mythical birthplace of man (if you believe that kind of thing), humanity has colonized and populated dozens of new worlds. This is the Jara Era.
In the Jara Era deep space is to man as the oceans where in the before times. With the re-invention of hyper-space travel the worlds of the universe are seldom more that a few days to weeks away from one another. Some less than a day. AS the ocean gave rise to pirates of old deep space was also a breeding ground for such opportunity. The crew of the pirate ship The Twenty-Wun Stars is one such group of opportunistic souls. A misfit bunch of space faring opportunists find the swagger leadership of Captain Jake Wade particularly appealing. Even after two stowaways orchestrate a heist , take over the ship in mutiny, when it's all said and done Captain Wade is captain again and every member of the crew has got a million confederate credits to call their share of the booty.
