Volume 3 — Ueno The group arrives in Ueno, where it all began for Cecilia in front of the Panda’s stone statue. Here they meet a herd of sacred deer, some of them slowly fading: their leader has stopped guiding them, paralyzed by fear of repeating a mistake that cost the herd dearly years before. As they learn that trust is given before proof, not after, the group also uncovers a long-buried secret: Piripillo has always been guarding a fragment of memory the Panda himself chose to separate from his own. The volume closes with the herd fully healed and a Panda finally ready to open up a little more about his own origin.
