The Heart Behind the Mask

A collection of short stories, as swift as our lives today, as swift as the world of images. These glimpses of life, unusual characters and events reveal, sometimes paradoxically, certain aspects of the human soul. In them, readers may rediscover the many facets of their own inner lives, those that sometimes remain hidden in the folds of a well-defined mask, the mask we show the world and, sometimes, even ourselves. These stories explore the relationship between human beings and consciousness. In the world of global communication, we often forget that the quality of our intelligence is determined not by the amount of information we can access, but by the way we are then able to have ideas and insights of our own, and to connect what we know to form a consciousness of ourselves in the world.A consciousness that begins with individuals capable, first of all, of speaking to themselves and, consequently, of engaging in dialogue and expressing original ideas.
