Jerri O'Powell - Pirates of the Twenty-Wun Stars: The Godwynne Mutiny
Pirates of the Twenty-Wun Stars: The Godwynne Mutiny
Pirates of the Twenty-Wun Star Is a "short story window", an expansion of the lines below from the novel "Andrean, Deslar & Paper Gods"
Once our ship (the March 12) got stolen. We were making a delivery on a mining moon that can only be reached every two years because of its orbit thru an asteroid field. To keep from getting stuck there the next two years we stowed away on what turned out to be a pirate ship, an old CRW (Confederation of Republic Worlds) ship. We ended up joining the crew and earning our keep while I tracked down the Mach 12. I’m glad I was in my combat ready form, Big Becka , when we made this delivery. (Becka is 6-2’’ looking 300lbs+ plus an extra 300 pounds of nanites for, just in case; over 600 pounds if you weighed me) After a couple of days I tracked down our ship to a dock on a Nova Class Resort Casino ship. Wayne pulled off a textbook mutiny (his smooth talking once again) and we took over the ship. Once we were in charge, we laid out this elaborate plan for a big score to rob the Casino Ship, really just to get us there. Once there, we snuck off to get our ship back and were ghost.
I bet the crew of the Twenty-Wun Stars is missing Captain Godwynne and First Mate Ms Becka . They seemed to really love us before we left, even the old captain. In another life Wayne and I would have been good pirates.
